Living by the Sea
PARTNER SCHOOLS AND TOWNS
The theme of sea is used for a number of reasons. Firstly, all partnership schools and their respective communities are situated close to the sea. Secondly, we want students to discover their local heritage and understand the significant role that the sea has played and continues to play in shaping their local landscape, their local culture and their sense of identity. Thirdly, students will gain an awareness of how the sea impacts on the lives of other people across Europe. By comparing and contrasting different locations, cultures and points of view, students will develop a deeper understanding of the European identity. The coexistence of regional, national and European identities is enriching and erodes existing inward-looking and xenophobic attitudes.
What time is it?
